In your pack, you should have a sheet titled Photo 5. Imagine you are the surfer in the picture. Use your senses to describe the scene.

Complete the activities on this BBC Bitesize page: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zrd4f82. It has made me really want to read ‘Slime’, I hope it has this impact on you too!

In your pack, find the multiplication sheet Deriving Related Multiplication Facts From Known Multiplication Tables. You can use multiplication facts that you know (or can work out easily) to help you work out bigger multiplication questions. The number of zeros is key to this. For example, I know the 5 X 3 = 15, from this fact I can work out that 5X30 = 150. 30 is 10 times bigger than 3 so the answer must also be 10 times bigger. As multiplication is commutative (can be done either way round), it also works for 50X3. Use this to help you work out the questions on your sheet.
