Introduction & Term Dates
St George’s Primary and Nursery School is a thriving multi-cultural, co-educational community school for children aged 4-11 situated in the seaside town of Great Yarmouth. We offer school places from age 4 but also offer a Nursery Class to 3 & 4 year olds.
We believe in the education of the whole child through partnership with families and the wider community and see every child as an individual. Our warm, caring family atmosphere supports and celebrates our multi-cultural community and the individual’s achievement at all levels.
We aim to provide the best educational opportunities possible with a firm commitment to raising standards and creating interesting and enjoyable learning for all that will enable better life chances for all of the children in our care. Our latest OFSTED Inspection (June 2018) reported that we continue to uphold our consistent track record of being a GOOD school.
” St George’s Primary and Nursery School is an exciting, creative and innovative place where people work together to develop their love for lifelong learning.”
Mrs Sharron Mitchell, Head Teacher
We provide a Covid Secure site and safe practice and follow all of the latest Government regulations for schools. At present we feel very confident that staff and children are safe on our site. We have extensive operational plans and risk assessments in place should anyone have Covid symptoms whilst on site to minimise the contact with others and contain the virus.
Learning at home – we are currently working on plans to enhance our learning from home offer should children be sent home to isolate.
