The Year 6 class is called Wolves (as chosen by the pupils) and is led by Miss Rhodes, supported by Miss Richardson and Miss Fogden.
Welcome to Year 6
Extra maths sessions
All the children in Key Stage 2 have been working together on number bonds and times tables. It has been great to see the children from different year groups working together so well. Ask your child what they are learning this week and see if you can help them get quicker.
Over the last few weeks we have been looking at the parts of our hearts, how they work and what they do. The children observed me dissecting a sheep’s heart and most touched it to help identify the different parts. This links to the text we’re reading: ‘Pig Heart Boy’ by Malorie Blackman.
We had some record breaking scores in our arithmetic maths tests today showing how hard the children have been working over the last year and a half.
