Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a lovely break over Half-Term and enjoyed the sunshine 🙂
Today is Monday the first day of the week. What day will it be tomorrow? Can you sing our ‘days of the week’ song and work out what day it will be! Yesterday was Sunday the last day of our Half-Term holidays. Can you start the morning by counting from 1-10 with your grown up – Can you remember our Magic Ten counting song?
- Today’s first activity is a size sorting activity. Go on a walk and fine a selection of different sized stones or shells from the beach! Create a chart labelling – Small, Medium, and Large. Encourage your child to sort the shells or stones into the three separate sized categories using the correct vocabulary.
2. This next activity is to strengthen finger and hand control for developing early writing skills. Watch the video with your child and have a go at doing the moves and actions together!
3. Here is another Nursery Rhyme to learn with your child. We learnt this at Nursery and the children really enjoyed it 🙂
Miss Polly had a dolly
Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
So she phoned for the doctor to be quick, quick, quick.
The doctor came with his bag and his hat
And he knocked at the door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
And he said “Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!”
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill
“I’ll be back in the morning yes I will, will, will.”
4. Here is a story that I recommend 🙂
Enjoy today’s activities! Speak tomorrow 🙂
