Good morning Chipmunks. I hope you had a happy and healthy bank holiday weekend. Did you and your family do anything to celebrate VE day?
Remember while we are learning from home I would like you to work eveyday on the reading, writing, counting and calculating targets that you were given in your home learning pack. Each day I will give you an additional idea or activity which is linked to these targets. You will also be given a topic related activity and a challenge of the day. Over the time we have been working at home I have posted lots of useful websites and resources that will support your learning – don’t forget to have a look at these too 🙂
Today I would like you to carry out a writing task. I want you to think of something that you have done over the past couple of days and write some simple sentences about it. I have written an example for you;
On VE day I had a picnic in my garden. I made ham and cheese sandwiches with my two girls. We also had crisps and fizzy lemonade. We had a blanket to sit on. We looked at pictures and video clips from World War 2. We thought about what it was like to live during the war.
For work related to our topic of transport this week we are going to be thinking about transport that can travel in the air. Can you name all of the different types of air transport in the picture below? Can you make a list of all the names.
Daily challenge 11.5.20 – Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
