It’s a new week! If you haven’t already then make sure you test yourself on your spellings from last week: -tion suffix and ‘sh’ sound spelt ch.

Here are your new spellings for this week:

-sion suffix

  1. expression
  2. discussion
  3. confession
  4. permission
  5. admission
  6. possession

sh sound spelt ch

  1. machine
  2. brochure

Put each of the words into a sentence, your challenge this week is to include either an expanded noun phrase or a present perfect verb.

Try to think of other words that have the -sion suffix, include these in sentences too.

BBC Bitesize has some great resources again this week. Take a look at the Maths for today, dividing by 8: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zvvsy9q.

There is also some great Science work about plants: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/znm4kmn. Unfortunately, the plants we were growing at school probably haven’t survived, find out why.

We learnt about Stonehenge earlier in the year, see what you can remember and if there is any new information here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zr2djhv.

Have Fun!
