Maths: Find the missing number to make the number sentence correct.
You can use the inverse to help you.
Example: 32 + ? = 44
Step 1: Do the inverse: 44 – 32 = (remember when subtracting you must ALWAYS start with the biggest number!)
Step 2: Subtract the tens- 40 – 30 = 10
Step 3: Subtract the ones- 4 – 2 = 2
Step 4: Add the answers- 10 + 2 = 12
So 32 + 12 = 44
Can you write your number sentences in your home learning books?
- 52 + ? = 77
- 26 + ? = 39
- 15 + ? = 48
- 33 + ? = 54
- 42 + ? = 65
- 64 + ? = 76
