This week we have been thinking about our mittens that we are going to make and how people encourage others to buy their products. We have written our own adverts for our mittens before making them. Some of us also became teachers ourselves this week, sharing what we had learnt in our RWI book with the rest of the class!
Look at what we have been learning this week…
Our amazing learning this week…
Wow, this week we have started to learn a brand new skill – sowing! We are learning this so we can make our own item of clothing. We have been having lots of discussions about the purpose of clothes and the ethical considerations when designers make clothes. We have also learnt about the process of researching, designing and making. We are excited to show you what we have made when we finish!
This week…
This week we have been doing lots of learning about clothing throughout history and how it has changed. We had a debate about the ethical question of whether fur should be used in clothing today, like they did in the Stone Age. We came up with some excellent ideas, which we backed up with research.
Our learning this week…
This week we have been following up on our learning that we did at the Time and Tide museum. We learnt about what makes an effective advert and have written our own adverts for the museum trip. Miss Coles is even going to share our writing with the museum!

Our wonderful work this week…
This week, we have been continuing our work about Henri Rousseau which we started at the end of last week. We used our knowledge of him to write a report that we will hopefully be able to film at some point. We also put lots of hard work into the Nativity. Thank you to everyone who came to see us perform.

This week, we had a go at making our very own game! We have been thinking about how discoveries of new technology have changed and about all the amazing things we can use computers for. We used Scratch to programme our own game including debugging any problems we encountered.
