I have a writing challenge for you today…

This is great opportunity to make sure you are varying your sentence structure for effect, and using a range of cohesive devices.

Fancy a music challenge? I’m guessing you’re watching some television – or will over half term? Have you noticed how music is used in TV shows to help convey the mood? Have a listen carefully next time. How do they true to clue you in that something exciting or scary or sad might be about to happen, or is happening? What instruments are they using to help this? How is this challenge going? I think one of my diary entries would be how much I miss seeing you all everyday, but how glad I am that you’re all safe!

Have you thought about the fact that we are living through a huge historical event? When studying history, we have discussed the importance of primary evidence.

This week I challenge you to start a journal or scrap book about what you are doing while we are staying home to stay safe. You never know – this might be found 100 years from now and used to help people understand!

You could include some writing, like diary entries, maybe some photos or pictures…be creative with it.

Here is a history/reading task that might help you when thinking about this…
