Good morning Nursery! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and were busy inside! Start the morning with counting from 1-10 along your number line. Practice going forwards and backwards from 1-10 + 1-20. Clap, jump, squat, hop whilst counting up to different numbers this will wake you up and make you ready to start today’s activities 🙂
Activity 1 – If you have Lego bricks or any other bricks start building towers with the bricks. Count the bricks in each tower. Then write on a piece of paper / card the number of bricks in the tower. Sit the tower on top of the number card. You might want to do all numbers from 1-10. Challenge is to build towers taller than 10. See what you can achieve!
2. This is a cutting activity – All you will need is a pair of scissors, paper and a pen. Draw a selection of patterns onto small pieces of paper for your child. Encourage your child to cut along the lines or make snips into the paper. This is really good practice for their scissor control and fine motor skills.
3. For this activity you will need some acrylic paint and paintbrushes. Go on a walk today, try and find a selection of rocks or pebbles with a smooth surface. You might find some on the beach, in the park or beside the road. Collect them and bring them home. Wash each pebble and leave them to dry. Then paint each stone with any design that you like!

5. This is another story that I recommend that you read with your child 🙂
