Good morning 🙂 I hope you all had a lovely weekend and made the most of the sunshine!
Do you think you could tell your grown up what you did over the weekend? Can you remember what you’ve been doing? What was your favourite part of the weekend?
- This activity is counting and number task. Draw groups of images onto paper from 1-5 for your child like the image below. Then write each number a few times next to the drawn pictures. Count the groups of pictures with your child – ensuring they don’t skip count or miss any pictured objects! Then encourage your child to write over each number as they trace the number you have written. Below are some different ways to complete this task!
2. The next activity is a fine-motor activity that increases your child’s finger strength and focus. All you need to do is draw a selection of patterns onto paper. Then encourage your child to use buttons, beads, pasta etc. to follow the patterns that you have made by placing the items on top of the lines 🙂
3. The next activity is a physical activity which will improve and develop your child’s core strength and balancing skills. Try making this at home 🙂
DIY balance beam
While you have your masking tape out, why not make your own balance beam? We all know how much kids love walking in straight lines every chance they get. Put on some music, and one at a time the kids can take their turn walking one-foot-over-the-other across the straight line of tape. Make the game more challenging by having the kids walk backwards, balance with one foot on the line, jump or even hop.
4. Here is another fantastic story 🙂
Remember CBEEBIES have lots of educational resources to keep your child engaged!
Enjoy today’s activities – Speak to you all on Tuesday 🙂
