Good morning Bear Class,
We all hope that you have all had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to hearing all about your holiday’s soon.
For now, we are all going to be keeping safe at home and I would like you to continue being ‘Superstar learners’ for me.
Our topic this Half Term is Bears and this week we are learning about height. I thought it would be nice if we read the story ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. I have copied the link in so you are able to listen and watch the story being told – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOJ_A5tgBKM
Measure in height order who’s the tallest to shortest in your family like the Three Bears?.. The height order of adults in Bear Class is; Miss Thrower is the tallest, Miss Whitmore is the medium size and Mrs Pollard is the shortest.
Practice writing your name on paper, in flour, paint or porridge oats.
Draw a picture of Goldilocks, discuss with your grown-ups the materials you are using to create Goldilocks and the shapes you have used to draw her features with. Here is a picture of Goldilocks for you to look at whilst drawing your own – https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinterest.com%2Ftnraisin%2Fgoldilocks%2F&psig=AOvVaw3t8HdolJrfo3drlWALKSdH&ust=1609793383931000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=2ahUKEwil-uDn0YDuAhUJgM4BHfaJC94Qr4kDegUIARDgAQ
Using a washing up bowl, some water and various items, can you predict which items will float and which items will sink? See if your predictions are right….
If you are able to go for a walk with your grown-ups that would be lovely to do so. If you are unable to go out may be you can do some star jumps, see if you can do 5 star jumps!
We hope you enjoy completing your home learning.
We look forward to seeing you all soon,
Take care, stay safe.
Miss Thrower, Mrs Pollard & Miss Whitmore
