Hello Nursery! Today is Wednesday the third day of the week 🙂 Can you start the morning by singing the Nursery Rhyme that we learnt on Monday. Can you remember it?
- Today’s first activity is a writing activity – Start by warming up your hands and fingers by doing the Finger Aerobic I posted on Monday! Then write your child’s name onto a piece of card with a black felt tip. Explain to your child that they need to trace over their name using a different coloured felt-tip each time to create a rainbow effect!
2. The next activity can be done indoors or outside. This is great fun and will develop your child’s listening and attention skills!
A great way to reuse water bottles (or you can purchase an indoor bowling set). Line six-10 water bottles up at the end of your hall or living room. Place a line of duct tape at the starting line. Grab a medium-sized indoor ball and start bowling! If you want, keep score and give out trophies at the end. (Note: if you need to stabilize the water bottles or make the game more difficult, simply fill them up with some water. Don’t forget to screw the tops on tightly!)
3. The next activity is a creative activity to try! All you need is red/orange paint and card. Use the paint and your hands or feet to create lobsters or crabs from the seaside. Add sand from the seaside to create the beach or use tissue paper 🙂
Here is a great story I recommend 🙂
Enjoy – Speak tomorrow Nursery!
