Skills homework

We have had an exciting week in Wolves experimenting with weird and wonderful pizza toppings, to help us design our own pizzas to make in the next few weeks, and writing and presenting weather reports to show our understanding of negative numbers.  Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the curriculum meeting yesterday.  I have included the handout from the meeting for you all to see what we will be covering in our upcoming Science and PSHE lessons; this is information for you, not the children.

This week we have been focussing on the skill of prioritising and for their skills homework this week the children need to prioritise what helps them learn.  There are boxes at the bottom of the sheet for them to cut out and stick in according to what matters most to them.  This will also help me support them in class.

Next week, we will be focussing on the skill of summarising by determining the key or most important information from a text or a task.  You can support our work at home by getting them to summarise what they want to say to you, eg. Tell me what you’d like for dinner in 5 words!
